Role scope

• Advise patients on lenses, frames, measurements and product choices with clarity and care.
• Support handover from the clinical team into a confident dispensing conversation.
• Maintain strong standards around compliance, documentation, aftercare and practice presentation.

What we will qualify with you

• Practice setting, product range, patient mix and team structure.
• Sales expectations, clinical handover process and support available.
• Pay, bonus, rota and progression route before your profile is introduced.

Candidate profile

• Must have attained a full-time diploma which was followed by working under supervision for a year.
• Must be registered as an optician by the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Must attain a three-year distance learning qualification offered by ABDO (Association of British Dispensing Opticians).
• Must have a minimum of two years of working experience as an optician in the United Kingdom.
• Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must be a well-trained and certified personnel in fitting contact lenses.
• Must have excellent attention to detail, particularly for interpreting prescriptions and checking lenses.
