As a Locum Optician, you will be responsible for assisting with patient eye examinations, dispensing and fitting eyewear, educating patients on proper eyewear care, and maintaining an organized dispensary. Job specification - Accurately interpret and fill prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses. - Advise patients on lens choices, lens coatings, and eyewear accessories based on their needs and lifestyle. - Assist optometrists in conducting eye examinations and diagnostic tests. - Conduct fittings and adjustments to ensure that eyewear is comfortable and suits the patient's needs. - Ensure the optical dispensary complies with healthcare standards and maintains a high level of hygiene and safety. - Keep detailed records of patient interactions, prescriptions, and follow-up appointments. - Maintain inventory and managed orders for optical supplies and frames. - Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction with their eyewear and overall experience. - Repair and maintain eyeglasses, providing adjustments as needed to ensure optimal fit and comfort.
