We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Locum Optometrist to join the confidential practice team in Cheshunt. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive eye and vision care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and management of eye diseases and conditions. The Optometrist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. Job specification - Conduct thorough eye examinations using various diagnostic tests and equipment to evaluate vision and detect eye disorders or diseases. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care. - Diagnose and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. - Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, standards, and protocols. - Educate patients on proper eye care techniques, contact lens care, and the importance of regular eye exams. - Maintain detailed patient records, including history, examination findings, treatment plans, and follow-up care. - Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other eye aids. - Provide pre-and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery. - Manage urgent eye health situations effectively. - Participate in community eye health programs and screenings to promote eye health awareness. Role scope
