Job specification - Adhere to all relevant healthcare guidelines, ensuring best practices in every aspect of patient care. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver well-rounded patient care. - Offer expert advice to patients on maintaining optimal eye health, including the proper use of contact lenses and the importance of routine eye check-ups. - Perform in-depth eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to assess vision and identify eye conditions. - Prescribe and customize eyewear, including glasses and contact lenses, to meet individual patient needs. Candidate requirements Degree in Optometry (OD) with relevant experience. Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC). A minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in optometry, with references available. Ability to work flexibly across different locations within Tyne and Wear. Role scope
- Deliver sight tests, clinical assessment and patient communication to a consistently high standard.
