Verovian Optical Agency is seeking a friendly and proactive Optical Assistant to join the confidential optical practice practice in Dartford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about delivering excellent customer service and supporting eye care professionals in a fast-paced environment. Job specification - Assist customers in choosing the right frames, lenses, and other optical products based on their needs and preferences. - Book appointments, manage the practice's diary, and handle patient inquiries in person or over the phone. - Ensure the practice maintains a clean and organised environment, meeting health and safety standards. - Process payments, issue invoices, and manage insurance claims where applicable. - Provide aftercare advice to customers, including the proper use and care of eyewear. - Repair, adjust, and fit glasses to ensure they meet customer needs and comfort. - Support the optometrist by preparing patient records and assisting with administrative tasks. Candidate requirements - Previous experience in an optical or retail environment is preferred. - Excellent customer service and communication skills. - Ability to work well in a team and under pressure. - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. - Comfortable with basic administrative tasks, including handling payments and managing appointments. - A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment. Role scope

  • Welcome patients, support pre-screening, diary flow, frame selection and handover.
  • Keep the front-of-house experience organised, warm and commercially attentive.
  • Work closely with optometrists, dispensing colleagues and practice leadership.
