Role scope

• Deliver sight tests, clinical assessment and patient communication to a consistently high standard.
• Use professional judgement around referral, clinical escalation and patient education.
• Work with the practice team to keep clinics safe, smooth and commercially aware without rushing clinical quality.

What we will qualify with you

• Testing structure, equipment, appointment length and support team context.
• Saturdays, late clinics, locum dates or permanent rota expectations.
• Pay package, benefits, career route and any non-negotiables before representation.

Candidate profile

• Must have obtained an undergraduate degree in Optometry and be registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the UK.
• Permit to work in the UK.
• Should possess the ability to explain medical terms simply and calmly.
• Must know how to use examination tools, such as Ophthalmoscope and tonometer.
